Some people tell me that they cannot wait until the day when they are completely debt free, and I cannot help but laugh. I never believed in wishful thinking, and thinking that one day you will no longer have any more debt is just that-wishful thinking. Especially in this economy where prices of everything are on the constant rise without any promise of stable and well-paying jobs, having debt has become the norm. And avoiding or ignoring or even forgetting to make payments will result in the unfortunate path of commercial debt collection.
You were probably told over and over again or perhaps even warned of one day having adult responsibilities. These responsibilities include making regular bill payments on multiple things, working every single day with not a whole lot of time off, all so that you can pay for things that you really do not need. But you were probably quick to turn a blind eye to these thoughts because you were just a kid after all. But then, before you even realize it, you grew up.
If you are an adult living in American, then you probably know exactly what I am talking about. And you most likely agree with me when I say that sometimes people wish they can just go back in time and relive their childhood, to be worry and debt free. But unfortunately scientists have not yet revealed the secrets of time travel, so we will just have to forge ahead in the present. In other words, we cannot escape our responsibilities, our bills.
A lot of people find themselves living like drones, living as if their entire world will stop if they do not adhere to routine. It is a sad reality, but real. The best advice I ever received was in high school. A teacher once said to me that if I find something I love to do, then I will never have to work a single day in my life. I believe in that. If the way of the world is working, then you might as well be doing something you love since it is a huge part of your life.
It is also a sad thing when people rack up a lot of debt because they cannot afford to make payments.
