Staten Island is a city that is separated from the rest of New York and is sometimes thought of as a very secluded area. It has fewer people than other major cities in New York even though it has one of the largest areas in New York. Residents in this city enjoy nice living as their is a community of warmth and friendliness. There is never a problem finding a Staten Island church to attend as there are many different denominational churches in the area.
Those who were born and raised in the area will usually have a place of faith that they have been attending what seems like forever. It is not ever a subject that they even think about. For others, who are new in the city, finding a place of worship can sometimes be worrisome. They should not worry though as this town has houses of worship for all faiths and denominations.
It can be frustrating sometimes for a family not to have a place of worship, especially when the family is new to the neighborhood and enjoyed a regular house of worship in their old town. They should not get frustrated though as they are sure to find a welcoming church of their denomination. If a person cannot make it on Sunday morning, they will be glad to know that many plaes have evening service or services throughout the weekdays. Seventh Day Adventist have their service on Saturday due to their strong belief of Saturday being the one and truly holy day.
Church members often get involved in bible study. Even though much is taught in regular service, a person will gain so much knowledge when they participate in a bible study group with their peers. There are study groups that are created for certain age groups so people can study with their peers.
Teenagers often enjoy youth group services. This is often run by the youth group pastor and he or she is helped by other church staff members. The group will usually meet for a hour or two during a weekday and participate in fun activities. They often give testimonials, pray, play games, study the bible and will sometimes even go on fun and adventurous field trips. Youth group is a fun and memorable time for all teenagers.
